1993 年，LucasArts 開發的一款冒險遊戲《Sam and Max 開始流浪》【Sam & Max
Hit the Road】培養了大批的忠實玩家，玩家在10年後的2003年得到了這款遊戲即
將開發續作的消息，但是2004年3月，LucasArts宣佈《Sam and Max》的續作Sam &
Max Freelance Police將被取消。

2005 年，Telltale Games 公佈《Sam and Max》單機遊戲。點選式冒險遊戲《Sam
and Max》的原創作者Steve Purcell與Telltale Games協力合作，遊戲於2006年上
市。

2006 年，Telltale Games公佈了《Sam and Max：首部曲》的試玩。這款遊戲是關
於一隻兔子和一支狗的流浪故事
